Plymouth Long Beach - Main Public Beach
Early June is the perfect time on Long Beach to view migrating shorebirds as well as nesting Piping Plovers and Least and Common Terns. Join shorebird expert Soheil Zendeh and Goldenrod program manager Dorie Stolley for a delightful taste of what Long Beach has to offer. We will see plovers, terns and, with luck, numerous shorebirds, including perhaps Short-billed Dowitcher, Semipalmated Sandpiper, Least Sandpiper, Ruddy Turnstone, Willet, Greater and Lesser Yellowlegs, Black-bellied Plover, Semipalmated Plover, Sanderling, Purple Sandpiper and Red Knot.
We will meet at the north end of the Long Beach main parking area at 3 p.m. From there, we will carpool to day parking or to the Goldenrod field station on Long Beach where our walk will start. We will return to the parking lot around 7 p.m.
See you on the beach!
